Our company is fully committed to providing families, school districts and government agencies across South Carolina state-of-the-art behavior support services. We are a contracted provider of serviecs through BabyNet and approved to provide behavior support services under South Carolina's MR/RD waiver.
Jay Cole
Jay Cole: Director of Applied Behavioral Services, Inc. is a Nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over ten years experience practicing ABA. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in experimental behavior analysis. Jay's thesis involved the study of stimulus-response relationships and their relevance to language aquisition. Jay has worked with a wide range of individuals with disabilities in various settings, including schools, residential facilities, large state institutions and private homes.
He learned functional assessment/analysis methodology under experts in the field of behavior analysis while working in Memphis, TN. As a consultant, he has assisted school districts and training facilities in developing group and individual behavior change programs, providing assessment, program development, and regularly scheduled consultations. With a particular interest in children and adults with limited verbal repetoires, Jay has also been instrumental in assessing and developing individualized skill aquisition programs. Jay is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis, North Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis, approved as a SCDDSN Medicaid waiver provider of behavior supports, and is licensed to practice psychology in NC.
Maureen McGill
Maureen McGill: Maureen graduated in 2005 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She began working in the field of applied behavior analysis in home programs during her study at UMBC in 2005. Upon relocating to Myrtle Beach, SC, she was employed by Horry County Public Schools as an ABA Therapist. During the summer of 2007, Maureen was employed as an ABA Therapist at the ABS/SOS clinic for children diagnosed with autism. In January of 2008, the ABS/SOS clinic reopened its doors for year round service and Maureen took the position of Lead ABA Therapist. Since joining the ABS/SOS clinic, she has worked in a variety of areas including individual and group instruction, parent training, and program development. Maureen is well-versed in the use of B.F. Skinner's Verbal Behavior, basic American Sign Language (ASL), and teaching social skills. She is also a certified Level I practioner of Professional Crisis Management (PCM). Maureen is currently a student of Penn State University's Applied Behavior Analysis program and will sit for her board examiniation in the fall of 2008 in order to obtain her Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) certification.


Sarah Russell
Sarah Russell: Sarah began her study in Applied Behavior Analysis in 1999 while researching and interning within the different realms of special education. She fell in love with the practice of ABA and decided to stick with that as her field of study and line of work. In 2000, she began her work as an ABA therapist doing therapy in home, school and community settings. Under the supervision of multiple BCBAs, she has worked with a variety of children across the autism spectrum. Sarah is also certified as a Level I practioner in Professional Crisis Management (PCM). In the Summer of 2007, she was hired for a summer ABA clinic through ABS/SOS Health Care, Inc. Sarah was a big part of the success of the clinic and was invited back to be an ABA Therapist upon reopening in January 2008. Her passion is helping children, and Applied Behavior Analysis is the best method she found for helping educate them. She is currently enrolled in Ashford University to continue her education in Behavior Analysis.


Kirstin Giordano
Kirstin Giordano: Kirstin graduated in May 2003, from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology. She is currently finishing her Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education. She began teaching children with developmental delays after college at the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Germany (2003-2005). From spring 2005 through summer 2006 she worked as a lead paraprofesisonal assisting young adults with various developmental disabilities at Saint Coletta of Greater Washington, a private charter school located in Washington, D.C. She then began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in the fall of 2006 as an ABA Therapist with Horry County Schools in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the summer of 2007 she worked as an ABA therapist for ABS/SOS Health Care for their summer pilot program. She returned to the clinic in January 2008 upon the reopening of the program. At the clinic Kirstin has produced instructional plans and assessments by using the ABLLS-R. Kirstin is also certified in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) as a Level II practioner.


Daryl Williams
Daryl Williams: Daryl is currently a student at Coastal Carolina University working towards her BA in Psychology. She began working in the field of applied behavior analysis in the Fall of 2007. Daryl received training in ABA from Applied Behavioral Services, Inc. through the BabyNet system. Subsequently, she was offered a position at the ABS/SOS clinic and began as a full-time ABA Therapist in January 2008. She plans to further her education in behavior analysis following completion of her BA.


Bysheba Sherman
Bysheba Sherman: Bysheba graduated from Coastal Carolina Univeristy in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She began working in the field of applied behavior analysis through Horry County Schools in 2004 and remained in that position until January 2008. During her time at Horry County Schools, she received training from Board Certified Behavior Analysts. She is now employed as an ABA Thereapist at the ABS/SOS clinic. Bysheba possesses certification in Professional Crisis Management as a Level I practioner and plans to further her education and obtain her Board Certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst.
